Training for Dancers
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Johanna received her dance education at the Heinz Bosl-Stiftung, Ballet Academy in Munich. After her graduation, she danced at the Staatsballett Berlin under the direction of Vladimir Malakhov, where she became a demi-soloist. After several years, Mauro Bigonzetti invited her to join the Aterballetto in Italy as a soloist, where she danced under the direction of Cristina Bozzolini. Her repertoire includes choreographies from Marius Petipa, Rudolf Nurejev, Vladimir Malakhov, Patrice Bart, Ray Barra, John Cranko, George Balanchine, Pierre Lacotte, Maurice Bejart, William Forsythe, Mauro Bigonzetti, Uwe Scholz, Christian Spuck, Ohad Naharin, Jiri Kylian, Johan Inger, Leo Mujic, Jerome Robbins, Angelin Preljocaj, Eugenio Scigliano, Andonis Foniadakis, Philippe Kratz, Michele di Stefano, Cristina Rizzo, Francesco Nappa, Giuseppe Spota, and many others. She has danced in many important theaters in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain, Austria, Serbia, Cyprus, Lithuania, Russia, Canada, Korea, China, Taiwan and Japan. During her career, Johanna has also learned Pilates, teaching Pilates Matwork at the Stott Pilates in Milan, Italy. She is a guest teacher in several companies and the rehearsal director and assistant of Helena Waldmann.
Johanna’s classes are based on a training that supports a strong classical level of dancing. Her focus is on clean technique coordinated with fluidity, dynamics and musicality, combining dance with a work out.
