Training for Dancers
Sara Enrich Bertran is a freelance dancer/performer from Barcelona. After her education at the Professional Conservatory “Institut del Teatre de Barcelona”, Sara joined the young company IT Dansa under the artistic direction of Catherine Allard. Since then, she’s been dancing and touring nationally and internationally with companies such: Metros Ramón Oller, Thomas Noone Dance Company, Henry Oguike, Norrdans, and Carte Blanche, where she danced for 4 years. While dancing with these companies she had the experience to work on a varied repertory with choreographers such: Sharon Eyal, Marcos Morau & La Veronal, Crystal Pite, Mats Ek, Jo Stromgen, Jirí kilian, Nacho Duato, Stijn Celis, Ohad Naharin, Felix Landerer, Gustavo Ramirez, Marcelo Evelin, Sang Jijia, Alan Lucien Øyen and Ole Martin Meland among others. At the moment, Sara is based in Berlin, and collaborates as a freelance dancer with Helena Waldmann, Cía La Siberia, Julia Maria Koch, and Felix Landerer. She also teaches contemporary-ballet and contemporary dance classes for professionals (Berlin and Barcelona).
In her contemporary ballet training, Sara combines the structure of a ballet class with an organic approach to the technique, working on principles that bring awareness , different textures, and fluidity to the body. The focus is on the awakening of the spine, the shift of weight, the musicality and the freedom of the dancer to move in space. A workout for both ballet and contemporary dancers.
