Training for Dancers

Marco began his road into the bboy world in 2004, in Naples. After many years of hard work, he became part of “Double B Rockers Crew”, a legendary Italian Breakdance crew. At the same time, he was touring with companies like Vittorio Toraldo, Laboratories Flegrei and Peppe Barra. He took part in many competitions and won numerous events around Europe. Berlin was life changing, when he met the other members of Frantics. Here Marco finally got the opportunity to change and evolve from bboying to experimental dance, where he unifies his strong style with tricking, power moves, floorwork and contemporary dance. He recently worked with Wang Ramirez Company (France), Panorama Dance Theather (Swiss), Southpaw Dance Co. (U.K.), Theater Strahl Berlin (Germany) and Frantics Dance Company (Germany/Spain/Italy). He has been teaching at Zaik (Köln), Marameo (Berlin), Basel Profitraining, Taiwan Monday Class (Taipei, Tainan), NunOff (Barcelona), Stadttheater Görlitz (wee dance company), Staatstheater Kassel (Johannes Wieland), Oliva Michele Dance Project (Italy) and CDSH Hamburg (Germany).

Class description

Floating Movements
We will be working with: Cardio exercises that will enable a better understanding of physicality and anatomy, helping the student to improve her/his strength and avoid future injuries. Body awareness, and playing with different qualities of movement, such as body isolations, tatting and more. We will focus on how the body can travel into space with different rhythms and velocities seamlessly, using guided improvisational tasks. Floorwork elements, including specific, technical movements from acrobatics, will help the students to get in touch with their own physicality. The aim is to build a very high, dynamic energy. We will learn choreographies in which we will apply the elements experienced during the class. Here, each one of us will add his/her own personality and movement quality to express ourselves individually.
